On August 4, 2018, A Midsummer's Night Benefit was a mystical evening of fun, frolic and fanciful delights in support of The Art Bus Project and our inaugural tour. Hosted by The Golden Eagle and set to an avant-garde soundtrack, courtesy of DJ Twilo, this sensory Shakespearean soiree included an immersive, scent-driven installation by local perfumer and artist, Julia Davis; beautiful, Lilliputian environments created by East End artist Scott Bluedorn; a flower-crown-making station via the lovely and talented NOFO native Brittany Barszczewski; an open bar stocked with a bevy of beverages from Napa institution and sponsor, Redwood Hill Wines, not to mention a bacchanalian spread of delicious bites from Citarella, D'Latte, Sang Lee Farms and Simply Nicki; fun features like an Instagram-worthy photo booth, actors performing vignettes from the play and a raffle with fabulous prizes from The Weathered Barn, re:design and Clarke's Garden; as well as The Art Bus itself, our installation open to the public for the first time.
